The IPO of Citigroup's
Primerica unit has brought in $320.4 million, Citi officials said Wednesday night. About 21.4 million shares were sold at $15 apiece, topping Citi's original expectation of 18 million shares in the $12 - $14 range. Shares of common
stock are expected to start trading today on the New York Stock Exchange
under the symbol "PRI."
Duluth, Georgia-based Primerica distributes mutual fund and life insurance products. Fund firms with distribution deals with Primerica include American Funds,
Invesco Aim, Franklin Templeton, Legg Mason, Pioneer Investments and Van Kampen Investments.
