BlackRock on Monday added two bond funds to its roster.

The BlackRock Multi-Sector Bond Fund focuses on taxable securities that seek to provide higher income than other core strategies. The BlackRock Strategic Income Opportunities Fund invests without sector constraints.

"The recent credit crisis has made the fixed income market more unpredictable and difficult to navigate, but attractive market opportunities remain highly accessible to discerning investors," said Curtis Arledge, BlackRock chief investment officer of Fundamental Fixed Income, in a news release Monday. Arledge is the lead portfolio manager for the two funds.
