John Hancock Funds is taking home some real-life hardware for its virtual content. The fund company won three Internet Advertising Competition Awards from the Web Marketing Association, as
noted in fist quarter earnings from Manulife, Hancock's Canadian parent.
Hancock's Roth IRA conversion calculator earned the internet marketing prize for Best Financial Services Interactive Application. The Boston-based company also won in the Best Financial Services Online Video and Best Financial Services Email Message categories for an "e-mercial" on market volitility and a portfolio analysis tool called Portfolio Insite, respectively.
