Fidelity has inked a 10-year lease for 220,000
square feet of office space in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina,
The News Observer reports. The report did not include the financial terms
of the transaction.
Fidelity had been subleasing that space from Nortel Networks.
The lease agreement is among the biggest such deals in RTP this year.
The paper speculates that with the signing, "it likely means that Fidelity will
be in no hurry to build a new campus on the 268 acres it owns in RTP."
Grubb & Ellis' John Linderman represented Fidelity in the transaction.
Fidelity has about 2,300 employees in RTP.
