Federal judges in Baltimore are expected to
decide this October on whether to greenlight settlements
in market timing and late trading lawsuits, dating back to 2003, filed by investors against mutual fund
firms,
The Baltimore Sun reports.
Suits in separate cases lodged against 17 fund firms were moved to U.S. District Court in Baltimore for coordinated proceedings.
According to the pub, all save for one reached settlement. The court bestowed preliminary approval to the others in April.
