FleetBoston has named Eugene McQuade to the post of president and chief operating office, according to an article in today's Boston Globe. This move represents a promotion for the executive, who had previously been cfo. The post of president had remained unfilled when current ceo Chad Gifford was promoted to replace outgoing Terrence Murray. Also promoted was Jay Sarles to the position of chief administrative officer.
