Paul Haagensen joined State Street Research & Management's small-cap value management team as a senior vice president and portfolio manager. He reports to John Burbank, managing director and head of the small-cap value team, the Boston-based firm said.

Haagensen was most recently a senior analyst and portfolio manager in the small-cap value equity group at Putnam Investments. Previously, he was a senior analyst for Wellington Management covering the computer industry, office equipment and electronics and a senior research analyst for Fidelity
