Sara Lee's Roderick A. Palmore is joining the board of the John Nuveen Company. Palmore is senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Sara Lee.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He also currently serves on the boards of the American Corporate Counsel Association and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago.

Before joining Sara Lee in 1996, Palmore was a partner with Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal in Chicago.
