UBS PaineWebber has retargeted its Web site to better serve affluent investors. The broker has added features to the site emphasizing the consultative relationships with individuals with more than $500,000 in investable assets.
The site now features tools to assist those investors with their financial planning needs. The site lures visitors with a series of basic financial questions that link to answers highlighting the broker's expertise.
The site also offers short bits of wisdom and insight said to be from the UBS PaineWebber financial advisors.
"Ubspainewebber.com was structured to meet the specific needs of the affluent investor, such as financial planning, wealth management and retirement planning, and to highlight the firm's emphasis on its consultative advisory process," said
Dennis McCann, senior vice president, Marketing Communications.
He added that the firm tested the design with usability labs and focus groups with clients and prospects. Those tests "provided validation that the site responded to these needs," explained McCann.
