Lynnett Berger, Nationwide Financial's chief investment officer for the investment management group, is leaving the company next Friday, The MFWire.com has learned.

Berger "has decided to leave Nationwide to pursue other business opportunities," Nationwide spokeswoman Erica Lewis confirmed to The MFWire.com in an e-mail.

Nationwide has not yet named a replacement for her.
