Commodity mutual funds last year saw roughly five times the net inflows that their commodities ETFs counterparts did,
The Wall Street Journal reports have seen.
Ninety four mutual funds in the commodities space saw $11 billion in net inflows, compared with $1 billion for 54 ETFs, according to data from Lipper Inc.
However, precious-metals ETF inflows significantly trumped mutual funds to the tune of some $8 billion compared $3.7 billion for mutual funds. Some beneficiaries of the trend include
