MFS Investment Management chairman emeritus
Bob Pozen and
NICSA president
Theresa Hamacher have co-authored a book called
The Fund Industry: How Your Money is Managed.
The publication of the book comes as NICSA is preparing to host its 29th annual conference in Florida. The confab will kick off this Sunday at the Doral Resort & Spa in Miami.
The book, which is published by John Wiley & Sons and comes with a price tag of $75, updates and expands on Pozen's earlier book,
The Mutual Fund Business.
Spanning 526 pages, the new book is organized into five sections: an investors guide to mutual funds, mutual fund portfolio management, selling investment funds, operations and finance and the internationalization of mutual funds. It has a companion Web site that provides supplementary materials, including a teacher's guide.
Morningstar's
Don Phillips wrote the foreword.
