Last Friday, The MFWire.com's sister publication, The 401kWire.com broke the news that Charles Schwab Corp. is working on an all-index-ETF 401(k) plaform to launch by mid-2012 and an all-index fund 401(k) platform that it plans to roll out later this year.

The offerings would include both proprietary Schwab funds and third-party products.
