George Gatch, the long-time head of
JPMorgan's
mutual fund business who was promoted last year to
run the bank's asset management business in the Americas,
made his first ever
NICSA appearance on Tuesday.
Gatch delivered the keynote address before an audience
of around 500 executives at NICSA's 29th Annual Conference & Expo at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami.
In his prepared remarks, he highlighted the need for innovation among industry players.
"We have to innovate and evolve rapidly to exploit
opportunities in the marketplace," Gatch told the attendees. "We have to expand capabilities and resources to develop more
strategic approaches to asset allocation to meet
the changing needs of clients."
