Andy Sieg and
John Thiel head a short list of candidates to replace the departing
Lyle LaMothe at Bank of America Corp.'s wealth management division,
InvestmentNews reports.
Sallie Krawcheck, president of Bank of America Corp.'s wealth management division, reportedly told advisers last month to not to expect an announcement soon, saying that she wanted to be “extremely thoughtful” about selecting their new leader.
Sieg, who runs the retirement services business at BofA, and Thiel, who is responsible for the firm's private bank unit, are reportedly among four candidates vying to replace LaMothe, who is retiring next month to pursue personal interests. Other candidates include two regional heads,
William Lorenz, director of the Southeast area of brokers, and
Donald Plaus, who runs the Northeast, both of whom report to LaMothe.
