Fundsters interested in
Fidelity's [see profile] work outside of traditional equity and fixed income investing may want to take a peek at the
Boston Globe. Chris Reidy
reports that the former chiefs of the Boston-based mutual fund giant's real estate group just launched their own firm,
Long Wharf Real Estate Partners, also in Boston. Fidelity first launched the team in 1995.
It appears that the 25-professional team will serve as a sub-advisor for Fidelity, to continue managing a pair of "value-added real estate funds with aggregate committed capital of $1.5 billion," for institutional investors. Long Wharf's managing directors are
John Barrie,
Michael Elizondo,
Jeffrey Gandel and
Jeffrey Tapley.
