The Depository Trust & Clearing Corpoation has hired Gail Weiss as vice president and head of global business development for wealth manaagment services. Weiss will be in charge of heading up DTCC's strategy in the global mutual funds processing space.

Weiss reports to Ann Bergin, DTCC managing director and general manager, wealth management services.

Previously, Weiss was managing director of SunGard's wealth management business for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Weiss was also the founding partner of Gail Weiss & Associates, a provider of financial services software applications and consulting specializing in mutual funds.

She also founded International Clearing Trust Company, which was later acquired by TD Ameritrade. Her resume also includes stints with Bank of America, Charles Schwab & Co., Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, Bankers Trust Company and The Northern Trust Company.
