The fight between
Jeff Gundlach and
TCW [see profile] starts in Los Angeles on Monday, and several topics of discussion were just taken off the table.
Fortune and the
Los Angeles Times report that the judge in the case just agreed to toss TCW's claims that it found marijuana, pornography and sex toys in Gundlach's office after he was fired in December 2009.

The trial instead will focus on the one hand on TCW's claim that Gundlach and the TCW employees he brought to
DoubleLine [see profile], his new firm, stole trade secrets, and on the other hand on Gundlach's cross-complaint accusing TCW of breaking his contract to avoid paying him hundreds of millions of dollars in fees.
TCW first sued Gundlach in January 2010, and Gundlach countersued shortly thereafter.
