BlackRock chief
Larry Fink was one of the CEOs that met with President Obama at the White House Friday afternoon, BlackRock spokeswoman Bobbie Collins confirmed to
The MFWire.com.
"The meeting that the President is having today is similar to meetings that he's had pretty regular
over the last – frankly since he took office two and a half years ago – because he does view
this an opportunity to talk to those business leaders, to these leaders in the private sector,
who will ultimately be the venue where our economic recovery is taking place,"
CNN
quoted White House Deputy Press Secretary John Earnest as saying to reporters.
Other CEOs in the room included Wells Fargo's John Stumpf, U.S. Bank's Richard Davis, American Express' Ken Chenault,
Silver Lake Partners' Glenn Hutchins, Xerox's Ursula Burns, John Surma of U.S. Steel and Bill Weldon of Johnson and Johnson, according to
CNN.
