Mutual fund industry reporter Jessica Toonkel has moved from InvestmentNews to Reuters. Toonkel covers mutual funds, retirement offerings and other advisor-sold products as part of Reuters' wealth management team.

"It's an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team," Toonkel wrote in an e-mail response to The MFWire.

InvestmentNews editor Jim Pavia and a representative for Crain Communications, which publishes InvestmentNews, could not immediately be reached for comment on how Toonkel's former duties are being handled.

Toonkel covered mutual funds for InvestmentNews for nearly two years. Earlier in her career, she was managing editor of Institutional Investor's Fund Marketing Alert/Fund Action.
