Fidelity will hold a memorial service on Thursday for
Boyce Greer, the former president of Strategic Advisors Inc. and Fidelity's global asset allocation group who died at the age of 55 on August 14 in a
kayaking accident. The memorial will take place at Spartan Field at 11 a.m. in Fidelity's Merrimack, New Hampshire facility, the
Nashua Telegraph reports.
Greer is survived by his wife, Anne; three daughters, Tessa, Cory and Riley; his mother, Sammye Crawford Greer; and his father, Melvin Greer.
Greer joined Fidelity in December 1987 as a portfolio manager, and since then his roles at the Boston Behemoth included serving as head of Fidelity Management Trust Company's fixed income group; vice president and group leader for FMR Co's municipal bond group; executive vice president and group leader of the money market group; managing director of Strategic Advisers, Inc; head of equity research and asset allocation; and head of fixed income and asset allocation.
