Putnam Investments CEO
Bob Reynolds was at Gillette Stadium yesterday for the unveiling of the Putnam Club. Reynolds toured the clubhouse with New England Patriots chairman Bob Kraft.
As previously reported, Putnam takes over from
Fidelity Investments (Reynolds' former employer) as the sponsor of the club.
The Boston Herald, which has a
video of Reynolds and Kraft touring the posh clubhouse, also has this interesting tidbit in its
article:
Despite big plans to raise its profile by sponsoring the Pats, Putnam still hasn’t won Kraft’s investment business away from Fidelity, where Reynolds used to work.
"Obviously we’re in the business of managing money, managing retirement funds -- but we have to
earn it,” Reynolds acknowledged. “If we earn it, I think it will be a good part of the partnership.”
The Boston Globe also has an
article on the Putnam Club.
