Dreyfus Corp. will have a new investment chief this fall. The New York-based fund firm tapped
Christopher Sheldon
as its new chief investment officer effective November 1,
Pension & Investments reports.
The former CIO,
Phil Maisano, retired in April.
Sheldon has served as BNY Mellon Wealth Management's director
of investment strategy. BNY Mellon is searching for a successor for him in that role. Also, Sheldon currently serves as president of BNY Mellon Funds and will
continue to do so.
Dreyfus is part of the BNY Mellon organization.
