A BNY Mellon Alum Takes Over Biz Dev at Ultimus

Reported by Erin Kello

Ultimus Fund Solutions's newest hire will be targeting bank-serviced mutual fund firms. Kirk Littleton will join the Cincinnati firm's senior management team as director of business development.

Littleton knows the large bank service providers well: he was previously managing director of global outsourcing for BNY Mellon.

“Small to mid-sized mutual funds and investment managers are increasingly finding themselves underserved by the large bank service providers,” Littleton said. “As an established industry player with the highest quality services in the market, Ultimus is primed to thoughtfully expand its reach and fill this gap, while maintaining its loyal relationships and service-oriented approach with existing clients.”

Cincinnati, Ohio – April 3, 2012 – Ultimus Fund Solutions, LLC, one of the largest independent providers of high quality mutual fund services, today announced the addition of Kirk Littleton to its senior management team as Director of Business Development.

With more than 27 years of experience in financial services, Littleton holds a proven track record of establishing value-added partnerships with mutual fund groups. At Ultimus, his responsibility will be to extend the benefits of Ultimus’ high quality services to open-end and closed-end funds. Performed by teams of CPAs, attorneys, paralegals and other professionals with a wealth of mutual fund experience, Ultimus’ broad range of services include fund accounting, fund administration, distribution, transfer agent and shareholder services.

“Small to mid-sized mutual funds and investment managers are increasingly finding themselves underserved by the large bank service providers,” said Littleton. “As an established industry player with the highest quality services in the market, Ultimus is primed to thoughtfully expand its reach and fill this gap, while maintaining its loyal relationships and service-oriented approach with existing clients.”

Littleton previously served as Managing Director of Global Outsourcing for BNY Mellon’s second generation middle office outsourcing services to mutual funds, institutional asset managers, insurance companies and hedge funds. He has also served as a Sales Manager for Eagle Investment Systems, and in sales, product design and implementation roles at SunGard Investment Systems.

“Adding Kirk to our team is a significant step in executing Ultimus’ growth plan,” said Bob Dorsey, co-founder and managing director of Ultimus.  “The depth of experience and consultative approach he brings from working with mutual funds for nearly three decades will help Ultimus craft the right mix of high-touch services for our expanded client base. We are delighted to have him on board.”
