Vanguard [profile], the third largest ETF provider, is bringing the ETF fee war to a new level. Benzinga reports that on Wednesday and Thursday the low-cost mutual fund titan slashed expense ratios for 13 of its exchange-traded funds.

The pub notes that Vanguard's move follows similar fee cuts that State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) [profile] made earlier this year for its Select Sector SPDRs.
