On Monday the
Vanguard [
profile] 529 team slashed fees on New York's direct-sold plan. The shift, to 17 basis points from 25 bps, will make the
Upromise Investments-powered New York plan the cheapest national one,
Morningstar reports.
The NY 529 advisor sold plan also just changed on Monday, with
J.P. Morgan Asset Management [
profile] taking over from
Columbia Management [
profile]. The change in manager was announced by the state last year. Because of the shift, the plan is now named the New York's 529 Advisor-Guided College Savings Plan.
