J.P. Morgan [
profile] is liquidating its
Asia Equity Fund, according to
today's SEC filing. The fund
currently holds $481 million.
A JPMorgan spokesperson said the shop is not permitted to comment beyond the regulatory filing.
The fund has seen significant recent outflows: as recently as May 31 of this year, the fund held $755 million. As of that date, the fund was down 26.84 percent year-to-date.
On February 17 of this year, managing directors
Edward Pulling and
Howard Wang were
added as PMs of the fund, replacing
Joshua Tay and
Patrick Chiu.
Pauline Ng stayed on as a co-PM of the fund.
The fund has stopped accepting purchases today and will complete the liquidation by July 20.
