Investors feel slightly less confident about investing in mutual funds and bonds in Q2 but not significantly so, says a
John Hancock Financial poll of investors.
According to the
John Hancock Investors Sentiment Index released today, overall investor sentiment is down two points to +19 in the second quarter compared with +21 in the first quarter. But it is up a point from +18 in the year-prior quarter.
Most investors maintained their Q1 views on investing in mutual funds and bonds. Nonetheless, the percentage of investors who said it is a good idea to invest in balanced mutual funds have gone down to 52 percent from 54 percent. Similarly, 27 percent said Q2 was a good time to invest in bonds vs. 28 percent in Q1.
