Bill Gross'
Pimco Total Return ETF has passed the $2 billion mark less than five months after being launched,
reports Bloomberg. The ETF had $2.01 billion in AUM as of July 16 close, according to the
Pimco [
profile] website.
As
MFWire noted last week, Gross' ETF has been outperforming its bond fund counterpart, the
Total Return Fund, so far in 2012.
Bloomberg data shows that the ETF is up 7.7 percent so far, while the bond fund has gained 4.2 percent in the same period.
But Gross can't be too broken up about his bond fund's performance. The fund may trail its ETF counterpart, but it has outperformed 98 percent of its peers this year and for the past five years,
Bloomberg noted.
