Talks of a merger between
UBS [

State Street's [

Reuters.
The
story, written by reporter Jessica Toonkel, notes that the potential merger would have given a new stream of capital for UBS, which had $599 billion in AUM as of the end of June.
Spokesmen from both shops declined to comment about the situation to Toonkel.
It is unknown why the deal talk died, though one source did say pricing and succession were sticking points.
