In January, investors added $29.5 billion more to ETFs than they withdrew, as emerging markets and international-developed ETFs attracted $6.8 billion and $5.4 billion of inflows respectively, according to the latest
ETF Snapshot published by
State Street [
profile].
According to the
SnapShot, 1,239 exchange traded funds, with assets totaling $1.4 trillion, were managed by 38 ETF managers as of January 31, 2013. Month over month, ETF assets increased $67.7 billion, up 5 percent.
The top three asset managers in the market were
BlackRock,
StateStreet and
Vanguard, accounting for 84 percent of the market.
