In just a few weeks, we could start to learn a bit more about Mary Jo White, U.S. President Barack Obama's choice to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission following the resignation of Mary Schapiro.

According to reports in Reuters and Bloomberg, hearings to consider the nomination will likely begin the week of March 11.

Reuters noted that it is not expected White will face significant opposition.
