Ah, the 401k, the new holy grail for the mutual fund industry.
But not every fund gets the seal of approval from investing experts.
For example, investing publication
Kiplinger has published its list of 100 funds deemed good enough for the space.
The listing groups funds in a number of investment categories, including large company, small midsize company, target date funds, bond fund funds, and balanced funds, among others.
Funds that made the grade include a few from
Fidelity, such as the
Fidelity Growth Company and
Fidelity Contrafund.
Vanguard products like the
Vanguard Total Stock Market Index, the
Vanguard 500 Index, and the
Vanguard Institutional Index.
Dodge & Cox's Dodge & Cox Stock funds made the grade, as did
Schwab
Schwab's Schwab 500 product. The
Washington Mutual Investors fund, managed by
American Funds, also received kudos.
