The
New York Observer just turned 25. So did
BlackRock [profile]. Thus, the publication decided to include a profile of the shop's founder
Larry Fink in the publication's celebration of a quarter century.
The profile recalls Fink's dismissal from First Boston and how he grew to be an advisor to the Obama White House, calling him "the single most influential banker since J.P. Morgan."
Pensions & Investments also got in the celebratory mood about BlackRock, publishing a
series of charts demonstrating the firm's growth.
