Morgan Stanley is looking to bolster its gatekeeping staff by hiring a manager of fund due diligence.
According to the
Linkedin posting the executive "will support the efforts of the Funds Business by overseeing and conducting annual and ad hoc due diligence on Mutual Funds and ETF products and managers. The Mutual Funds and ETF businesses are well over $400B in assets, generating considerable revenue for the Firm. The position will entail significant cross-business and asset manager interaction."
The position's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage Product Analysts responsible for reviewing new and existing products to determine availability to MSWM and PWM clients – the Analyst effort for non-complex products currently outsourced to a third party
Review products and managers and review/approve reports produced by Product Analysts, particularly for more Complex products
Lead onsite meetings with senior managers at product provider companies. Establish the agenda, ask probing questions and assess written materials, systems, etc. to identify key risks.
