Brinker Capital reports that it has added 25 disciplines to its managed account program. The mandates were won by 13 different investment managers to its mutual fund program, according to Brinker. The King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based firm works with independent financial consultants as a managed account consultant.
Jim Harrington, chief investment officer at the firm explained that the additions were made as part of an emphasis on asset allocation at Brinker. "Asset allocation is critical in any market environment, but particularly in down markets. Brinker Capital has added a significant number of investment disciplines over the past year so that we can recommend the best possible asset allocations for our clients," he explained.
