After 23-years with the
Associated Press,
Mark Jewell is switching sides.
Jewell's last day at
AP will be May 15th. After that, Jewell will join
John Hancock, where he will write about the firm's mutual funds, in particular its international equities products.
For much of his career at the wire service, Jewell was a business journalist. His last four years, though, were focused directly on the mutual fund industry, writing the weekly
Of Mutual Interest column on mutual funds and personal investing, according to his
Linkedin page.
He was also a contributor to AP's
Money & Markets' daily financial pages.
The subjects he wrote about included mutual fund flows, fund industry news, financial markets performance, investor behavior, investment strategy, and portfolio manager Q&As.
