An Eaton Vance Arm Hires Not One, But Two, Consultant Honchos

Eaton Vance subsidiary Parametric Portfolio Associates has decided that consultant relationships deserve twice the love.

The alts firm hired two directors of consultant relations: Michi McDonough and Chris Wisdom.

According to the company, both new hires will report to James Barrett, Parametric's Managing Director of Institutional Sales and Client Service. Barrett is reportedly leading the effort to expand Parametric's internal institutional sales and client service teams.

"Michi and Chris will be dedicated to developing and enhancing Parametric's working relationships with investment consulting firms. They will be working closely with our existing sales, product management and relationship management teams as they engage with the consultant community," Barrett stated.

Parametric Appoints Institutional Consultant Relations Directors



SEATTLE, May 15, 2013 -- Parametric Portfolio Associates LLC ("Parametric"), a subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp., today announced it has added depth to its institutional sales team by hiring two Directors of Consultant Relations: Michi McDonough and Chris Wisdom. Parametric is a leading provider of engineered investment strategies and implementation services to institutions, family offices and individual investors.

Both new hires will report to James Barrett, Parametric's Managing Director of Institutional Sales and Client Service. Mr. Barrett is leading the effort to expand Parametric's internal institutional sales and client service teams. Mr. Barrett defined the new roles stating, "Michi and Chris will be dedicated to developing and enhancing Parametric's working relationships with investment consulting firms. They will be working closely with our existing sales, product management and relationship management teams as they engage with the consultant community."

Kip Chaffee, Managing Director of The Clifton Group ("Clifton"), a division of Parametric, welcomes the new team members. "Michi and Chris have the industry knowledge and contacts to broaden our message throughout the consulting community." Clifton's risk management strategies and overlay services for institutional clients employ futures, options and similar instruments to help clients enhance risk-adjusted returns. Mr Chafee continued, "We see tremendous potential for growth in our overlay business as more institutions realize the value and cost-efficiency of using derivatives to control investment policy based risk, increase efficiency, and improve expected returns."

Parametric Chief Executive Officer, Brian Langstraat, emphasizes the growing role of institutional asset management at Parametric. "Our vision for Parametric is to offer an industry-leading platform of portfolio implementation, risk management, tax management and engineered investment strategies to sophisticated investors around the globe. The recent addition of Clifton further enhances our ability to serve institutional clients; it complements our existing capabilities and adds meaningfully to our product offerings."

Michi McDonough will be based in Boston, MA. Prior to joining Parametric, Ms. McDonough held positions at Wellington Management where she was previously Vice President and Consultant Relations Manager, Westfield Capital Management and MFS Investment Management. She received an M.B.A., magna cum laude, from Babson College and a B.A. in Economics from Emory University.

Chris Wisdom comes to Parametric from Dimensional Fund Advisors ("Dimensional") where he was previously Regional Director, Consultant Relations, and will be based in Seattle. Prior to joining Dimensional, Mr. Wisdom was a vice president at MSCI, and worked as an investment consultant with Towers Watson in the U.S. and Mexico. He received a B.A. in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Windsor and is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles.
