Hancock Hires a Gatekeeper Honcho

Todd Cassler is building up his A-team.

The senior managing director and head of institutional sales at John Hancock Funds has hired Christopher Fuschillo as a Managing Director on its institutional sales team in a new position, calling on analysts and gatekeepers at major broker-dealer firms.

Fuschillo reports to Gary Bieda, a Senior Managing Director, and is based in New York.

"We have experienced strong growth within the broker-dealer platform channel. Our unique 'best of breed,' manager of managers model has resonated with professional buyers and gatekeepers," stated Cassler. "Chris brings a wealth of experience calling on analysts at leading broker-dealers, and we are excited to have him join our organization."

Fuschillo for the past five years was Director, Due Diligence - Institutional Investment Services Group, with Lord, Abbett & Co., LLC. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with The Dreyfus Corporation as Vice President, Business Development, in the separately managed account area, and in related roles.

BOSTON, June 3, 2013 -- John Hancock Funds has added Christopher P. Fuschillo, CIMA®, as a Managing Director on its institutional sales team in a new position, calling on analysts and gatekeepers at major broker-dealer firms. Mr. Fuschillo reports to Gary Bieda, a Senior Managing Director, and is based in New York.

Mr. Fuschillo for the past five years was Director, Due Diligence - Institutional Investment Services Group, with Lord, Abbett & Co., LLC. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with The Dreyfus Corporation as Vice President, Business Development, in the separately managed account area, and in related roles. He holds an MBA from Fordham University, and graduated from Fairfield University. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation.
