For many diners, nothing beats special access to the chef's kitchen. The concept seems to apply to advisors and investment selections as well.
The $3 billion TAMP
FTJ FundChoice has recent unveiled 40 strategic and tactical portfolios featuring seven managers.
The portfolios feature ETF products, with some composed solely of ETFs while others include a mix of ETFs and mutual funds.
The lineup is dubbed the
ETF Strategist Program, and features products from seven managers. For example, the strategic portfolios features funds from
Wilshire & Associates.
Meanwhile, the tactical portfolios feature:
Clark Capital Management Group,
CLS Investments,
Efficient Market Advisors,
Main Management,
Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management and
Litman Gregory Asset Management.
FTJ Fund Choice president
Dean Cook told
MFWire, said that each of the managers are featured on five to seven different portfolios. FTJ has 12 portfolio strategists who have crafted the portfolios to meet a spectrum of risk tolerances for advisors.
"Advisors are continuously looking for more cost effective ways to implement sophisticated investment strategies. By using ETFs in lieu of the usual mutual funds, they are able to reduce the internal costs to their clients pretty dramatically," Cook says.
The launch is only the latest stage in FTJ's strategy of embracing advisor portfolios, covered by
MFWire in
May.
