The ICI is pressing on in its fight against new SEC rules requiring funds to disclose their proxy votes.
Matthew Fink, president of the industry trade group, told Reuters that he hopes the
Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will overturn the rules. The OMB could have jurisdiction under the paperwork reduction act. Fund industry employees reportedly met with the OMB last month to argue that the new regulation creates excessive paperwork and cost.
