Does this Batman have a Robin?
Reuters' Tim McLaughlin reports that
Fidelity Investment [
profile] PM
William Danoff has a new partner assisting him,
New Millennium Fund manager
John Roth. Danoff asked for Roth to be assigned as co-PM of
Fidelity Advisor New Insights Fund, which has $23 billion in assets, McLaughlin writes.
McLaughlin's sources theorize that Roth has been picked as Danoff's eventual successor on the $97 billion
Contrafund. Some sources, however, don't think Danoff is going anywhere anytime soon.
"I don't expect Will to come to me and say 'Gee, Brian, I'm ready to ride off into the sunset.'…I expect he'll be doing this five, seven, 10 years and beyond," McLaughlin quoted Brian Hogan, president of the equity group at Fidelity as saying.
McLaughlin paints the two men as an odd couple, with Danoff as Oscar and Roth as Felix.
