Sometimes the fund market is a jungle.

Case in point, IndexUniverse reports that FactorShares is shutting five ETFs, which provided spreads between the S&P 500 Index and oil, Treasury bonds, the dollar and gold. The article notes that while the strategies garnered respect from more sophisticated investors and advisors, the products failed to gain traction among the broader public.
