American Century, Transamerica and AIM both announced changes or additions to their portfolio management teams this week.
The moves by American Century included a pair of promotions on the fund firm's fixed income team based in Mountain View, California. Six-year American Century veteran
David Moore has been named director of Municipal Research. He will take management responsibilities over the municipal research team and continues as the primary analyst for land-secured, state, housing and transportation credits.
Lynn Paschen was promoted to portfolio manager of $3.3 billion American Century Capital Preservation Fund from a fixed income trading post for the money markets group.
Meanwhile, Houston-based AIM added to the portfolio manager teams on a number of its funds.
Karl Farmer joins the team managing the AIM Emerging Growth Fund and will join AIM Aggressive Growth and AIM Mid Cap Growth teams on May 1;
Kirk L. Anderson takes duties at AIM Global Growth Fund now and will join the AIM Blue Chip team in May;
Scot W. Johnson joins AIM Global Income Fund and
Robert Cannon Coleman II will help on AIM Large Cap Basic Value Fund.
AIM scheduled more portfolio management team changes for May 1. Those changes include
David W. Pointer joining AIM Charter;
Christian A. Costanzo and
Robert J. Lloyd joining the team managing AIM Constellation;
James G. Birdsall joining AIM Dent Demographic Trends and AIM Weingarten; and
Shuxin (Steve) Cao joining AIM International Growth.
Finally, Transamerica Investment Management hired
Peter O. Lopez as vice president and director of Research, Fixed Income. He also takes over portfolio co-management duties on all the firm's high yield portfolios including the Transamerica Premier High Yield Bond Fund, the Transamerica Income Shares (closed-end bond fund), and the AEGON/TA Foundation funds. He reports to Heidi Y. Hu, senior vice president and head of Fixed Income Investments.
