Time to get the U-Haul.
Fidelity closed a deal on New Year's Eve to sell five buildings on Devonshire and Congress streets to Related Beal, according to the
Boston Globe.
The newspaper notes that the properties cover a stretch of the two streets near Post Office Square known as the "Block." They contain 343,000 square feet, and include 82 Devonshire Street, which had served as Fidelity's headquarters before the Boston Behemoth moved to 245 Summer Street.
Chairman
Ned Johnson first hinted at the move in February, putting the properties up for sale
in March. The deal with Related was first announced
early December.
