Morgan Stanley's top mutual fund selector just added more duties to his plate.
Ben Huneke, head of investment solutions at the wirehouse, already oversaw Morgan Stanley wealth management's third-party mutual fund and separately managed account program (which also includes other investment products, save alternatives). Last month
Shelley O'Connor and
Andy Saperstein (respectively head of field management and head of investment products and solutions) told the wirehouse's team, via a memo obtained by
MFWire, that Huneke now oversees funds, annuities and personal retirement.
Ed O'Connor, head of retirement and insured solutions (who oversees IRAs and custodied retirement business at the small end of the market), now reports to Huneke.
Shelley O'Connor and Saperstein unveiled a host of other changes in the memo.
Jim McCarthy, formerly head of workplace and investment solutions (whom Ed O'Connor had reported to), leads the brand new solutions delivery organization.
Barry Goldstein, chief operating officer of field management, added advisor, trainee and manager development programs, and strategic partnering and team, to his bailiwick.
And the 401(k) business team, led by
Pat Rieck, shifted into the corporate equity solutions group. Rieck now reports to
Joe Vaccarino, managing director of CES.
