Anne E. Robinson
will join Vanguard as the general counsel and managing director of its legal and compliance division next month, a Vanguard spokesperson confirms to
MFWire.
Robinson was not immediately available for comment.
Robinson will be taking over for
Heidi Stam, who announced plans to retire last October. Stam will continue to stay on until "a transition is conducted" between the two later in the summer, the spokesperson tells
MFWire.
Robinson joins the senior leadership team of a dozen people and she will be responsible for "all legal and compliance activities including regulatory, corporate, and litigation matters."
Most recently she worked for
Citi in 2014 as the general counsel for Global Cards and, according to her
Linkedin profile, she "[brought in] 20 years of legal experience in the financial industry." Robinson was with
American Express in 2003 where she was in numerous legal positions that gradually became more responsible.
She earned her Bachelor's degree from Hampton University in political science and graduated in 1991. In 1994 she graduated from Columbia Law School.
