Mergers & Liquidations

On September 22, WisdomTree will close and liquidate the WisdomTree Commodity Currency Strategy Fund. WisdomTree will also close and liquidate the WisdomTree Global Natural Resources Fund, the WisdomTree Global ex-U.S. Utilities Fund, the WisdomTree Japan Interest Rate Strategy Fund, and the WisdomTree Commodity Country Equity Fund.

On October 31, PNC will liquidate the PNC Mid Cap Fund. On December 31, PNC will liquidate the PNC Small Cap Index Fund and PNC Mid Cap Index Fund.

On September 23, the Witherspoon Managed Futures Strategy Fund will close and liquidate.

On September 30, Oaktree Emerging Markets Equity Fund liquidated its shares.

On October 23, Cavanal Hill Tax-Free Money Market Fund will be closed and liquidated.

On November 23, Montage Investments, LLC will close and liquidate the Consilium Emerging Market Small Cap Fund.

Exemptive Relief

Hartford amended its request for exemptive relief to set up an "interfund lending program" for its mutual funds.

Subadvisors

Pictet Asset Management Limited was added as a subadvisor to the Litman Gregory Masters International Fund, effective June 30.

Execs

On August 23, Manning & Napier's mutual fund board appointed Michele T. Mosca as principal executive officer, president, chair, and interested director for the funds, succeeding James E. Mikolaichik.

Effective August 19, Matthew Hackenthal became acting chief compliance officer to the SunAmerica Funds, succeeding Katherine Stoner.

Portfolio Managers

Bryan Richards and Patrick Dwyer have taken over as PMs for a host of Deutsche X-trackers ETFs, including: the Deutsche X-trackers FTSE Developed ex US Comprehensive Factor ETF, the Deutsche X-trackers FTSE Emerging Comprehensive Factor ETF, the Deutsche X-trackers Russell 1000 Comprehensive Factor ETF, the Deutsche X-trackers Russell 2000 Comprehensive Factor ETF, the Deutsche X-trackers MSCI Latin American Pacific Alliance ETF, the Deutsche X-trackers MSCI All China Equity ETF, and the Deutsche X-trackers CSI 300 China A-Shares Hedged Equity ETF.

Fees

MFS updated the fee schedules for the MFS Global Growth Fund and the MFS Global Total Return Fund.

On August 31, SSgA will cut the management fee (previously 12 bps) on the SPDR Russell 2000 ETF 10 bps.

On September 1, Brookfield will eliminate its redemption fee for Class A, Class C, Class I and Class Y Shares for the Brookfield Real Assets Debt Fund, the Brookfield Global Listed Real Estate Fund, the Brookfield Global Listed Infrastructure Fund, the Brookfield Real Assets Securities Fund and the Brookfield U.S. Listed Real Estate Fund.

On September 1, the annual fund operating expenses for the Jacob Internet Fund will decrease by 12bps.

Rebranding

Effective August 31, SSgA will rebrand the SPDR S&P 500 Fossil Fuel Free ETF as the SPDR S&P 500 Fossil Fuel Reserves Free ETF.

Effective August 31, the SPDR Russell Small Cap Completeness ETF will transform into the SPDR S&P 1000 ETF. It will also change tickers, from RSCO to SMD. And it will switch from tracking the Russell Small Cap Completeness Index to the S&P 1000 Index.

The Altegris/AACA Real Estate Long Short Fund rebranded as the Altegris/AACA Opportunistic Real Estate Fund.

Investment Strategy

SSgA tweaked the investment strategies for seven bond ETFs: the SDPR Barclays Short Term Corporate Bond ETF, the SPDR Barclays Intermediate Term Corporate Bond ETF, the SPDR Barclays Issuer Scored Corporate Bond ETF, the SPDR Barclays Aggregate Bond ETF, the SPDR Barclays High Yield Bond ETF, the SPDR Barclays Short Term High Yield Bond ETF, and the SPDR BofA Merrill Lynch Crossover Corporate Bond ETF.

SSgA tweaked the investment strategy for the State Street Institutional U.S. Government Money Market Fund.

The Frontier Silk Invest New Horizons Fund may now invest in other depositary receipts in addition to American Depositary Receipts.

Effective August 25, the Evermore Global Value Fund switched benchmarks, from the MSCI AC World Index NR USD to the MSCI AC World Index Ex USA NR USD.

On September 1, the ProShares Ultra FTSE Europe and the ProShares UltraShort FTSE Europe will no longer follow the FTSE Developed Europe Index and will instead follow the FTSE Developed Europe All Cap Index.

The Guggenheim Defensive Equity ETF will no longer follow the Sabrient Defensive Equity Index and will instead follow the Guggenheim Defensive Equity Index on October 21.

On November 30, the Delaware Focus Global Growth Fund will shift its strategy and it will be repositioned as an international small cap equity fund. The fund will also undergo a name change from Delaware Focus Global Growth Fund to Delaware International Small Cap Fund.

Closing

As of August 24, institutional and service shares of the Frontier Silk Invest New Horizons Fund are not for sale.

Reopening

As of August 25, the JPMorgan Small Cap Growth Fund has reopened to new investments.
