Credit Suisse First Boston has no plans to hire a new head of its asset management division to replace
Jeffrey M. Peek, according to an internal memo. Peek resigned as vice chairman at the firm. He also oversaw Credit Suisse Asset Management.
The memo said that Michael Kenneally, CEO, of the asset management arm would take over Peek's duties and report directly to John J. Mack, chairman of CSFB. Kenneally will also take a place on CSFB's operating committee.
Peek left CSFB to take become president and chief operating officer and potentially the next CEP of CIT Group in New York City. He had spent just 18 months at CSFB.
