Gary Cohn confirmed on Monday that Trump has picked
Shahira Knight as special assistant to the President for tax and retirement policy.
ThinkAdvisor highlighted Knight's appointment, which was
predicted by the WSJ when Trump took office a month ago.
Washington, D.C.-based Knight is an alumnus of both UVA and George Mason. She is a former Congressional staff who served as senior advisor to the Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives' Ways and Means Committee. She then spent more than two years as a managing director at the trade group SIFMA before joining Fidelity in 2009. At the Boston Behemoth she served as vice president in the public affairs and policy group.
Knight is one of 12 NEC appointments Cohn revealed on Monday.
